Second Life

Avatar activated!
ARCHDRC102

Render tool/filter three coloured lights overlapping each other to generate a white light.
Continuing on from the first week lecture, additive and subtractive colour is studied and experimented through lighting rather than colouring in second life.

Colour channels:
Red - red:212  green:0  blue:0  hue:0  sat:100  lum:42
Green - red:2  green:0  blue:217  hue:241  sat:100  lum:4
Blue - red:5  green:214  blue:3  hue:119  sat:97  lum:43

The below image demonstrates the experiment I have tried. From red to blue, the light colour changes to white resulting additive colour system.
Ideas and Sketches

Experimenting with image, textures and light.
After setting a dramatic background for my avatar(world, environment settings), I have studied texture application and the build tool in second life.

background setting -

Experimenting with offset filters to make a material texture for our library.
With a screen capture of our library, I have offset-ed the image which eliminates the picturesquare structure and attempts to create a material texture.

background setting -

Experimenting with alpha channel material for our library.
After offsetting the image, I have added an alpha channel and randomly inserted simple and complex geometries and blended them out naturally fusing the image with transparency.

The resulting image is then uploaded on second life and is inserted as a texture which balances opaqueness and transparency evenly across the surface.

Experimenting with rendering filter on photoshop to relight images for light direction.
With print screen images of our blogs, I experimented and created a material texture and altered the light direction which emphasises the light direction and light intensity.
During midday.
Light balance should be even across the face and yet, a clear light contrast is evident from one corner to its opposite.
