TREEHUT

DEVELOPMENT

FINAL

Section view

I have pushed the boundaries of the funtionality and the needs for a treehut and escaped from the traditional small scaled, child-like or immature build and evolved into a more public and open architecture which harmonises with open space and nature flawlessly.

I have designed and developed my treehut so it functions like an open recreation park rather than a small scaled room. Therefore, my treehut has no windows and involves just doors which simply allows users to enter in and out the closed-space.

My treehut is clearly divided into two different components where the actual tree is involved in creating a piece of architecture and panels of walls and columns supporting each other creating indoor space but is no different to outdoor. By creating the walls which embraces the tree glass, it allows users to experience the feeling of high ground and yet feel safe as well. The closed space in front of the tree set is completely open yet closed; providing privacy and freedom simultaneously.
